The braid hook is a new technique of laying wicks that allows you to obtain a superb mane without damaging the scalp. For more information, follow the guide.
What is the crochet hook?
The crochet braid is a protective hairstyle which consists of sliding strands folded in half under your natural hair (which you will have braided beforehand). The result is very natural and will exert less pressure on the scalp than a weavingclassic. You can do it at home (with a little training) or at a professional.
How to make a braid hook?
To put your braid hook, put a small amount of moisturizer in your hair then make braids plated on the whole head. Attach these using a needle and thread. Then grab your hook, pass it under a braid then hang a wick crochet. Then gently remove the hook to pass the wick under the braid. Attention, the wick should not come out completely but form a loop. Pass the tip of the wick through the loop to secure it, then gently tighten. Repeat until covering the entire head (making sure to leave a little space between each wick). Your new mane will last up to a month and will protect your natural hair from the elements.
Tip: Adapt the texture of the locks according to your wishes. Smooth, curly or wavy… there is no shortage of possibilities!
How to maintain your braid hook?
To maintain your braid hook, moisturize your locks regularly and cover them with a satin scarf for sleeping. Detangle them gently with your fingers and a little non-greasy detangling water. And to wash them, nothing like a blow of dry shampoo!
